Sheila Tembo 29 and the mother of two. She has been living in Chamba Valley since 1997, and is a teacher at Greenhill Community School. She loves the children there and is passionate about teaching. She is out going, a leader, confident, funny, and a hard worker. Sheila loves to dance and sing, and she recently opened a snack shop near the boarding school.
Aliness Mwanza 49 years old and cultivates maize. She has an excellent understanding of her goals and wants to work hard to reach them. She is quiet but has a very warm and inviting spirit. She is the mother of five children, and her husband is a security guard in the area.
Seridah Soko 25 years old and teaches grades 7-12 at Greenhill Community School. She is very athletic and loves playing netball and softball. She also has a heart for the vulnerable children in Chamba Valley, and would love to see more kids have the opportunity of education.
Anna Shamwene 45 years old and the mother of four. She tills the land and grows crops to sell for her kids to go to school. She also repackages mili meal (a maize product) to sell along with vegetables and charcoal. She spends her day looking for things to sell, and enjoys meeting with friends to share ideas on what to sell. She also loves participating in church activities.

Munsaka Chami 20 years old with two girls. She is a teacher at Greenhill and moved to Chamba Valley this past year. She really likes the people of Chamba Valley, as well as how quiet the village is. She spends the day cleaning the house and helping pull weeds in the field. Munsaka likes joking around with the other teachers and listening to the radio.

Paul Tembo 58 years old and was in the construction industry before he retired. He has five children and is in charge of raising chickens and helping with activities at the school. He is also the pastor of a church in Chamba Valley and sometimes travels to preach. He and his wife run a boarding school for orphan and vulnerable children called Greenhill Community School. He wants to teach carpentry and promote the egg market.
Steven Nyirenda 24 years old and has helped care for the chickens at Greenhill since 2007. He takes care of his brother’s daughter and plans to open a clothes shop.
Rodisi Nampasa 49 years old and came to Chamba Valley in 1978. She grows and sells Maize to support her family. She is quiet and strong. Rodisi loves to learn and is very intentional.
Mailess Zulu 49 years old and has been in Chamba Valley for 20 years. She sells beans, vegetables, eggs, rice, and dry fish from her home. Mailess gardens during the morning and sells her crops in the afternoon and evening. She is very smart and engaging.
Faidess Daka 51 years old and has lived in Chamba Valley for 40 years. She and her husband are farmers. Together they have 7 children. She is in a gardening club and likes spending time with her kids and listening to the radio.
Ray Srachifunda 20 years old and teaches grades 4 and 5 at Greenhill. He wants to go to university to study business or medicine, but for now wants to open a shop to sell eggs. Before going to teach, he wakes up early to pray, exercise, and work in the field.

Stella Tembo 52 years old and graduated from a university to be a secretary. She and her husband moved to Chamba Valley after he retired to get out of the city. She was amazed by how many people are not educated, so she decided to start Greenhill Community School, a boarding school for orphans and vulnerable children, named after a holy mountain in the area. Her day is filled with caring for the kids. She wants to open a shop in the community.
